Waste

Litter
It is forbidden to dirty or soil the public domain. Throw away your paper, cans and other waste in a litterbin or a recycling bin and dispose of your cigarette butts in a nearby ashtray.

A healthy and safe community starts with a clean one and this is the reason why the Ville-Marie Borough, Montréal.net and Destination Centre-Ville have committed various cleaning teams who roam the streets in an effort to clean and pick up litter.

Do your part: tell people who throw garbage on the ground that such an action is disrespectful. Keeping our city clean is a matter of respect, but also be aware that to dirty the public domain can bring a fine of a minimum of $ 125.

If you see a deserted pile of garbage that has been abandonned for several days, please let us know. For further details on this matter, please refer to the section Litter

An extreme case
