Graffitis

Graffiti must be removed, either by using cleaning products that are environmentally friendly or by repainting the affected wall. Graffitis and tags not only disfigure buildings on which they appear, they also reflect negatively on the neighborhood.

Graffitis and tags may seem to be an unavoidable scourge in urban areas, but there are actually several ways to prevent your property from being the target of graffitis.

Use prevention methods to help keep the neighborhood clean, attractive and to reduce cleaning costs.

Here are some steps that the Éco-quartier suggests:

  • Plant vines to cover your walls. We recommend the variety Engelmanii for brick walls because it does not damage the structure (unless the wall is already cracked).
  • Make a mural painting on the wall affected by graffiti.
  • Install a trellis.
  • Install a lamp equipped with a motion detector.
